Located in a private, suburban street, this large family home is created by the overlap of two sheltering enclosures with an undulating terrace, which extends the garden into the living rooms. The shells provide privacy while also allowing a view through to the garden. The spaces are locked between the rectangular concrete structure and the free form shell. The uninterrupted slab at ground level allows a double height space under the lower shell and extends as a terrace, partially covering the swimming pool. The taller shell contains the dining area, and a ‘box’ of two bedrooms with the main bedroom above it.
